Jar Jar Binks is an amphibious creature from the underwater city of Gunga. He was Banished from Gunga because he was clumsy. When he takes Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Qui-Gon Jinn to the underwater city Jar Jar is supposed to be punished, but Qui-Gon spoke up and said that he had saved Jar Jar's life and that Jar Jar owed him a lifedebt and they let him go.
